A Drama Ballet by W. Shakespeare

The director stages the tragedy as a great farce. Serguei Melkonian proves that Shakespeare wrote his play according to the genre. The performance is staged as a dramatic ballet: The actors pay special attention to choreography — the language of gestures and poses express inner motions of heart and spirit. But exactly this untraditional approach allows us to discover absolutely new traits of the characters. The success of this performance in the USA allowed S. Melkonian to state: "In the West my staging of "Hamlet" is considered to be one of the best plays by production and form"
